Business Development Manager - Crowdsourcing Tech Company for FMCG Research

Following a rapid growth and expansion to new International markets, we are expanding our Sales Team to drive new client relationships.
The Business Development Manager role
The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth by developing sales pipeline opportunities primarily within FMCG and retail, in the UK and beyond.
The role will have a pure new business focus and will manage the sales cycle from prospecting to close, owning the client and solving their problems through collaboration with customers.
The successful candidate will be a charismatic self-starter with a consultative sales approach and a successful track-record selling to senior management across Insights, Research, Marketing and Category Management areas. Ideally, you will also have had previous experience selling technology or marketing services.
You will sweat the details and obsess over optimising every step of the sales cycle. You’ll also appreciate that securing a lasting client relationship is more than just a pitch deck and a smile, and we will arm you with the case studies, marketing and customer success support you need to succeed.

+ Developing new business opportunities/pipeline with new clients via in-person meetings and calls.
+ Manage the new business sales process through prospecting, qualification, client needs analysis, stakeholder mapping, product demonstration and negotiation to hit quarterly sales quotas.
+ Collaborating with Customer Success Team to ensure clients are on-boarded and plans executed once contracts are won.
+ Ensuring accurate and complete information is captured in our sales CRM system and forecasts provided
+ Ensuring that market knowledge, operational know-how and best practice is leveraged to operate effectively and to assist the wider team
+ Keep up-to-date with industry trends and prospects and focus on networking opportunities to help win new business.
Who we are looking for?
+ Degree educated (preferred)
+ Exceptional organisation and communication skills – both written and verbal
+ Self-starter, with a hunter mentality and desire to progress a career
+ Min 2 years working in a B2B Sales or Client Development role
+ Strong track record of achievement against targets
+ Experience selling to FMCG & retailers across Brand Marketing, Market Research, Category Management, and Consumer Insights functions (desirable)
+ Experience selling or working within marketing services or technology (desirable)
